Texas Hill Country is an area close to many Texans hearts. Not only does it house our capital city, Austin, but it is also home to many other major cities like San Antonio, New Braunfels, Fredericksburg, San Marcos, and so many more.Recently, this area has been devastated by ongoing flooding. With more people being found and more destruction being revealed, more and more people need help than ever.There are many ways to help, from volunteering, to monetary donations and physical donations of goods. Any help goes a long way for the survivors and the families of those who lost people or their homes. On the home page, there are buttons to pages dedicated to how to help in the different ways listed above.

Monetary Donations

If you are in the area:

The Southern Oaks Church in Kerrville is seeking gift cards or monetary donations. The Robertson County Sheriffs Office, Back the Blue Cafe, and Henry Prairie Baptist Church are accepting donations on their Facebook. Rudder FFA in Bryan is accepting gift cards at the Ag building. Brenham FFA and SkillsUSA are accepting gift cards to H-E-B, Walmart, Lowe's, and Home Depot at Brenham High School. Cross Kingdom Church in Kerrville is accepting monetary donations.

Online Donations:

Pluckers locations will be donating 20% of sales on Monday, July 14th. Texas Roadhouse and Bubbas 33 are also donating portions of their proceeds to the cause.

If you're not in the area:

Girl Scout Troop 6432 in Lubbock is accepting at the Lubbock Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains building until Wednesday. Kendra Scott is accepting donations at any of their Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio stores till Wednesday. University of St.Thomas, Alvin ISD, Clear Brook FFA, Humble ISD, Typhoon Texas, and VFW Post 8790 in Houston are all accepting donations.

If you are in the area:

The Salvation Army Kerrville Kroc Center is accepting donations. The Robertson County Sheriffs Office, Back the Blue Cafe, and Henry Prairie Baptist Church are accepting donations at the Robertson County Sheriff's Office. The Rudder FFA in Bryan is accepting donations dropped off at the Ag Building. Folklores Coffee House is accepting donations at both of their locations.

It is important to NOT self-deploy out of an abundance of safety. Always seek out an organization to help out.

What Should I Bring?

Always double check the websites or the social media of donation centers before bringing items to ensure they arent already full. This is also a general list, again check what the specific centers are looking for.

  • Clean clothes for adults and children

  • General hygiene products

  • Water, juices, and Gatorade

  • Non-perishable food items and snacks

  • Cleaning supplies like clorox wipes, trash bags, washcloths, etc.

  • Blankets & bedding

  • Diapers and baby wipes
